Well except for finishing the last round with two bogies on 17 and 18, the tournament was better than the last. 70-72-73 for a T-8 finish at the Florida’s Natural Charity Classic was not a terrible 3rd tournament. To put it all in perspective my best finish all last year was a T-9 and this year I have played in 3 tournaments and I have earned a T-3 and T-8 already. I am still sitting in the top-10 on the money list and that is the whole purpose of this tour — to make enough money to earn my LPGA card. So, only 16 more great tournaments like this one and that is mine!
This week was a lot of fun because I had my awesome boyfriend on the bag. We have a great record when he caddies for me! We have won a tournament, qualified for my 1st and only LPGA, played my first pro tournament under par and now earned my second best finish as a professional with a T-8. He doesn’t quite know too much about how to play the game but he knows how to keep me happy, focused and having fun.
Also, during the pro-am this week I had the pleasure to play with a group of guys from Brunswick Golf Course in Maine. They are thinking about hosting a Symetra tournament in the 2015 season and I hope I helped move that process along. I had a great time with them and as much as I would love to help add a tournament to the 2015 Symetra season, I do NOT want to be playing in it — I want to be an LPGA Rookie in 2015
We have moved up to Orlando last night and I am enjoying a day off today. I was looking forward to some sunshine and laying out by the pool (to get rid of some tan lines) but of course Central Florida decided to be cloudy. But I think some solid R&R is going to be great today anyway. Back to work tomorrow with a practice round and a clinic with the Annika Academy!
Thank you for the support and kind words last week! I love the direction I am going with my game, can’t wait for the rest of the season!
